Assessment of Organizational Reliability Capability

This short article highlights the IEEE Reliability Program Standard 1332 as became available. I enjoyed working on this standard and it was a good team of folks that build a very useful standard.

Hello Fred, very attractive papers and advices in your website. Thank you a lot for sharing your experience.
I would be interested in your view and recommendation on how to assess reliability of disruptive technologies : Design for reliability would be a recommended approach. But how to do when we are designing systems based on optoelectronic devices under harsh environment (like for space). A paper in this area would be very welcome for our next symposium (www.isros.org)
Thank you. (we are on Linked’in too)

Hi Alain,

Thanks for the comment and link to the conference. I’ll add to the reliabilitycalendar.org site and look into providing an abstract.

Reliability assessment is not about the technology, it is more about the culture and approach. Are the design teams asking and looking for the right (reliability wise) questions.

cheers,

Fred
