Electrical asset inspection and maintenance is not just one of the most important tasks in a facility, but it is one of the most dangerous as well. The proper use of thermographic technology is vital to retrieving accurate data during an inspection to properly trend the health, performance, and condition of critical electrical assets. The process by which the data is collected must be focused on allowing the inspector to achieve accurate readings of the equipment, while at the same time providing a safe environment for the inspector to avoid the risks of electrocution and arc flash.
1.Proper thermographic cameras and settings specific to the task/equipment
2.Collection and trending of inspection data for asset management
3.Safe inspection techniques to promote a “safe at work, safe to home” culture
