CALCE will hold a symposium on Reliability Science for Cost-Effective, Safe, and Reliable Electronic Products and Systems at the University of Maryland.
With rapid changes in materials and processes, along with fields of expanding applications, demands on electronics are greater than ever. As we rely more on electronics everyday, their reliability is critical to our safety and security. Reliability science is the knowledge of degradation processes and its use in assessing, mitigating, and managing product failure. This symposium will examine the use of reliability science in addressing supply chain issues, testing challenges, and new technologies, and its role in providing solutions to create cost-effective, reliable electronics and maintaining system availability will be discussed.
