The main objective of preventive maintenance is to predict the failure occurrence in order to anticipate events that may cause system shutdown, higher operational cost and accident. The Prognostic Health Management (PHM) helps to provide accurate assessments for on-going basis of the State of Health (SoH), as well as high quality estimates of the remaining useful life (RUL) of the system or the part of a system which is being monitored. However, the PHM must be part of physical asset management in order to be complementary of all different types of maintenance and preventive actions to enable the systems achieve high performance. During this webinar we will demonstrate the PHM application based on the Kalman model under the asset management process context, the adaptive useful life estimation based on Kalman model applied to a rotating equipment and the limitation and challenges in the PHM application.
